Bill McDermott, Co-CEO and Member of the Executive Board of SAP AG, will deliver the keynote at the 2013 GTDC U.S. Vendor Summit, being held September 10-11 in Newport Beach, California. The Global Technology Distribution Council (GTDC) is an industry consortium representing the leading IT distributors globally. At the summit, CEOs of top distributors convene with the channel leaders of approximately 70 IT companies, many that SAP co-innovates with, as well as others it competes against. McDermott will deliver his keynote on September 11 at 9:15 a.m. PDT / 12:15 p.m. EDT.
In his keynote, McDermott will focus on innovation in a changing world, the major trends reshaping the competitive landscape and how organizations must “rethink everything” as they collectively advance in this new era of computing. He will underscore the critical importance of distribution in the overall “value chain,” connecting customers and solution providers, especially in small and midsize business markets.
Today, SAP is diversifying its initial focus with distributors on SAP Crystal Reports offerings to encompass analytics and business intelligence (BI) solutions, as well as database and technology, and mobile device management. To support these expanded routes-to-market, the company introduced the SAP PartnerEdge program for authorized resellers in 2012, offering both resellers and distributors enhanced value with the partner program from SAP. Since last year, the company has continuously expanded this program, recruiting additional partners in multiple regions while building out product offerings to better meet channel requirements.
