Reach new customers online

With hybris Commerce for SAP Business ByDesign, businesses get a powerful e-commerce solution extension that comes pre-integrated with the SAP system. The solution lets you synchronize your accounts and contacts, export your product catalog from SAP Business ByDesign to hybris, and send sales orders from your online shop to your SAP system in real time.

Other key features include dynamic cart and pricing calculations based on customer and product information in SAP Business ByDesign, shipping cost calculation, and product availability checks.

Reduce fraud with secure credit card payments

The Paygate solution extension, provided by SAP partner Computop, comes pre-integrated with SAP Business ByDesign and with the hybris e-commerce solution extension. Paygate allows businesses to accept credit card payments from customers globally for purchases made via mail order or online shop. It collects all necessary credit card data, charges customers upon delivery of goods, and monitors payments.

Furthermore, Paygate meets the PCI DSS requirements mandated by VISA and MasterCard as well as the Verified by VISA and MasterCard SecureCode Standards. This can help businesses reduce the risk of fraud in e-commerce transactions.

Get on-demand processing for electronic payments

SAP partner Paymetric offers ePayment Integration Service for SAP Business ByDesign, an on-demand electronic payment processing service. With this solution extension, credit card authorization takes place directly in SAP Business ByDesign or the e-commerce site, and transactions are sent securely to a variety of card processors and banks.

This process is carried out on Paymetric’s on-demand authorization server, XiPay On-Demand, which is certified against the SAP NetWeaver Exchange Infrastructure Content Interface.

The solution also includes Paymetric’s security technology, XiSecure On-Demand, a solution that removes sensitive credit card data at all points of entry and replaces it with a token.

Fax directly from SAP Business ByDesign

With Fax as a Service for SAP Business ByDesign, from Easylink Services International, businesses can send faxes from within the SAP system. The solution extension requires no hardware, software, or implementation – you don’t even need a telephone line. After a simple change in the configuration of the SAP software, you can send faxes from within SAP Business ByDesign the same way you send an email.

Businesses receive delivery status reports and are billed on a per-page basis. Normally this solution costs US$100 per month, but SAP Business ByDesign customers can receive a 50% discount if they sign-up by the end of January. Click here for more information.

Support for sales teams

SAP offers its own solution extensions for SAP Business ByDesign with the Sales Order Analysis for Sales Representatives and the Sales Quote Item Analysis.

The Sales Order Analysis for Sales representatives allows you to search for open sales orders, such as orders that haven’t yet been invoiced or delivered. You can access details on the open orders such as the quantity and amount of the order and the customer contact information. You are also able to filter your top ten sales orders by various criteria and look at sales orders created within a specific time period.

The Sales Quote Item Analysis allows sales managers to analyze past sales quotes and get a better understanding of future sales development. The “Quote Price Trend” view gives you a quick overview of how the average quote price has developed over a period time via a line graph. The graph shows the average net price by product category, and you can drill down to see specific products, sales units, and responsible employees.

Mobile access to SAP Business ByDesign

SAP offers three mobile apps for accessing SAP Business ByDesign on the go: iPad Dashboard by SAP, SAP Business ByDesign for iPhone by SAP, and SAP Business ByDesign for BlackBerry by SAP.

The iPad Dashboard lets you access your business data and analytical information stored in SAP Business ByDesign on the iPad. With the app, you can make notes directly in reports and create email and voice notes to collaborate with colleagues. You can even compare the latest version of a report against older versions to easily see any significant changes in data.

The SAP Business ByDesign App for iPhone gives you direct access to your backend SAP application, including analytic reports and tools. Sales representatives can use the app to create leads, opportunities, and sales orders and check for product availability. Managers can accept and reject approval requests.

In addition, businesses can customize access for each user, either by granting authorizations or by hiding certain content. The app is free for anyone to download. The Business ByDesign for BlackBerry solution extension allows you to access information in your SAP system via a BlackBerry device. The app lets sales representative create and maintain customer records and record all types of customer interactions, such as creating leads, opportunities, and sales orders. You can also check for product availability. Managers have access to analytic reports and tools and can accept and reject approval requests. As with the iPhone app, the app for BlackBerry allows businesses to customize access for each user.
