Nervous about your next visit to the dentist? Still, it’s better to face the facts now. If you do have any decay, the longer you leave it untreated, the bigger the holes will get – in your teeth and, later, in your wallet. But if you take good care of your teeth, you won’t need emergency treatment or tooth replacement.

Maintenance is prevention

You may be wondering what dental hygiene has to do with IT. The answer is simple: When it comes to regular maintenance, teeth and IT systems have a few things in common. For example, to ensure they stay effective and serve you well for as long as possible, you have to take certain precautions and provide regular care. In IT, there’s no question that innovation protects the longevity of the investment. How heavily companies choose to invest depends on their specific requirements and their attitudes to risk. In dental terms, you could say that some companies choose the full-care program with professional cleaning, polishing, sealing, and inlays. Others prefer to stick to the basics, relying on their toothbrush and toothpaste of choice.
