Alan Amling Lead, Global On-Demand Manufacturing, UPS
Alan Amling leads UPS’s Global On-Demand Manufacturing initiative, helping global companies leverage 3D Printing to take time, cost and carbon out of their supply chain. He moved in to this role after serving as VP Marketing for UPS Logistics & Distribution.
Alan began his UPS career in 1982 working as a seasonal employee for four years performing a variety of jobs including feeder and package loader. Since rejoining UPS in 1992, Alan has held numerous leadership roles in new product development, e-commerce and long-range planning. Alan is TED speaker and a native of Grants Pass, Oregon.
Alan holds a MBA from Indiana University and earned his B.A. in Business and Psychology from Lewis & Clark College. He is currently is pursuing a Doctorate in Business at Kennesaw State University focused on business model innovation.
