IDS Scheer Reorganizes Executive Board and International Management Responsibilities

Herbert Kindermann (51 years) will take over the responsibility of the International Segment and move on to become a member of the Executive Board as of January 1. He was founder and managing shareholder of ibcs, a systems house specialised on Eastern Europe, that has been acquired by IDS Scheer at the end of 1999. In January 2003, he became a member of the Extended Board and is responsible of Central and Eastern Europe (CEE) at IDS Scheer. Since the year 2000, the CEE region succeeded in multiplying the revenues by a factor of 10 and increasing the earnings steadily.
Dr. Wolfram Jost (42 years), member of the Executive Board, will continue to take over his responsibility of the development and sales of ARIS software platform worldwide. In addition to his current tasks, he will be responsible of global marketing. This decision reflects the growing importance of the product area within the IDS Scheer group. Particularly the tasks of the cooperation with SAP for integrating ARIS into SAP NetWeaver and jointly marketing the product internationally will be bundled in one Board activity and supported in a concentrated manner.

New international management structure

The reorganized Executive Board of IDS Scheer AG will guarantee for the continuity in the corporate strategy and aim at the ambitious goal of profitable global growth. The international focus is to bring a visible added value to the customers by continuously improving their business processes on the basis of ARIS Process Platform, the worldwide leading solution for Busines Process Management.
Professor Dr. Dr. h.c. mult. August-Wilhelm Scheer, founder and chairman of the Supervisory Board of IDS Scheer AG, explains: “With the new international management structure, we are well positioned to take the global challenges and to make use of the market opportunities on an international scale. I know Herbert Kindermann for more than 10 years now. He is an entrepreneur who has founded and managed his own company in Eastern Europe in a very successful way. Due to his entrepreneurship and his achievements for IDS Scheer in CEE we are confident that he is the best person for the coming expansion work in the international markets.”
Apart from the changes in the Executive Board, the next management level, the Extended Board, will be expanded by 2 experienced key managers for the international business and comprise 6 members. Khalil Hodaibi (37 years), responsible of Western Europe, will join the Extended Board as of January 1, 2005. Hodaibi was managing shareholder of Groupe Expert, acquired by IDS Scheer in mid-2003. Afterwards, the countries of France, Belgium and Luxembourg were in his responsibility within IDS Scheer group. Hans-Werner Velten (51 years), who is responsible of the consulting segment process industry and thus particularly for the chemical and pharmaceutical industry, will become further member of the Extended Board. With the integration of the consulting firm Balink headquartered in Basel (Switzerland) and Freiburg (Germany) and acquired in September 2004, it will belong to his duty to expand the market position in the global chemical and pharmaceutical industry as a core competence of IDS Scheer.
