Part of the SAP for Insurance portfolio of industry solutions, SAP Claims Management enables insurers to streamline their customer-facing and operational processes, from first notice of loss to claims settlement and financial reconciliation. “Excellent claims service has been a hallmark of Cincinnati for 50 years,” said Gary Givler, assistant vice president of Headquarters Claims for The Cincinnati Insurance Company. “This system helped us replace our paper-based claims processing, allowing us to continue our focus on providing that excellent service.”
SAP Claims Management replaces the manual, paper-based file management processes at Cincinnati Insurance with a single, shared platform for decision-making. Documents and data related to property casualty claims are captured upon receipt through a secure connection and are available immediately in virtual claims files. This eliminates the manual processing and routing required to assign and distribute claims information. SAP’s business workplace delivers personalized content, providing authorized field associates with immediate access to virtual files while reducing processing expenses. Additionally, business managers at Cincinnati Insurance benefit from the reporting and analytics functions available with SAP Claims Management. The system provides a single view of the claims file, allowing managers to analyze loss trends.
“Excellence in servicing claims is rapidly emerging as a key differentiator for insurers and serves as an effective means to lower operational costs and increase customer retention,” said Ron Frankenfield, senior vice president of financial services, SAP America. “Cincinnati Insurance has taken decisive and exemplary steps in adopting SAP Claims Management as part of its overall systems architecture and specifically to process claims more efficiently. Their unwavering focus on defining and managing project objectives and scope were key to our collective ability to deliver the project on time and on budget.”
