Muscat, OmanSAP AG (NYSE: SAP) executives, who will visit Muscat next week, have said that as changes in the global economy impact local businesses, the country’s companies are facing a “new reality”, and strategic IT investments will play an instrumental role in the future success of Oman’s emerging computer market.

SAP’s role in this Oman’s IT market, say senior executives who will meet with customers at the ‘Best-Run Now’ Road Show in Muscat, is to develop and assist the country’s IT sector by driving profitability, competitiveness, stakeholder value and growth across organizations.

“Omani organizations should focus IT investments on projects that address pressing market needs and deliver fast value in an altering global economy,” says Sergio Maccotta, Managing Director, SAP Middle East & North Africa (MENA).

“Companies should proactively seek ways to turn challenges of the current economy into opportunities, prepared to respond quickly to changing markets and be well positioned in the market as Best Run Businesses,” continued Maccotta.
