Qatar is fueling the doubling of the global Future Cities market to USD 758 billion by 2020, experts announced today ahead of the Arab Future Cities Summit.

“Worldwide, Qatar is a leader in fostering Future Cities, with Qatar National Vision 2030 guiding national digital transformation. Sharing information in real-time is delivering new levels of efficiency and digital citizen services that save time and money, creating a ‘frictionless city’ and local jobs,” said Gergi Abboud, Managing Director for the Gulf, North Africa, Levant, and Pakistan at digital transformation enabler SAP.

SAP is supporting Qatar’s ambitious plans by exchanging best practices from its Future Cities program, which co-innovates with over 4,500 local governments worldwide. SAP is also seeing strong success in supporting Qatar’s Future Cities entrepreneurs through the SAP Start-up Focus Program.
