An increasing number of SAP partners are growing their business by creating and selling packaged applications based on SAP platforms. To help partners expand their technology scope and market reach, as well as better differentiate themselves from the competition by optimally addressing the growing demand for cloud and on-premise applications, SAP has launched the new SAP PartnerEdge program for Application Development.

The program offers partners developer licenses, enablement services, and assets, as well as the technical and go-to-market support needed to quickly and efficiently develop, market, and sell applications based on SAP platforms to customers worldwide via the SAP Store. The platform development licenses may also be used for custom development. Because partners are able to sell their applications, including the SAP platform components, they can become full solution providers to their customers.

Designed for SAP HANA, SAP Sybase databases, and SAP HANA Cloud

The program, which just launched on July 29, is easy to join and has low annual fees. It was designed for use with SAP technologies around the SAP HANA platform, SAP Sybase databases, and SAP HANA Cloud Platform, as well as mobile and application integration. Further extensions will be coming soon.

“We are convinced that our technologies help companies speed up their business innovation in order to maintain competitive advantage. Joining forces with a strong partner ecosystem that innovates on top of our platforms enables us to best serve our customers rapidly evolving needs,” said Eric Duffaut, president, Global Ecosystem and Channels, and corporate officer SAP AG.
