CIBER Germany: Unicode at Budenheim

With help from CIBER Germany, chemicals company Chemische Fabrik Budenheim has enabled its SAP ERP systems for Unicode. As a result, all characters in use are coded in accordance with the ISO standard. Budenheim employs approximately 900 people in total and has sites in more than 100 countries.

The functionalities affected included financials, controlling, sales and distribution, materials management, production planning, and environment, health, and safety. The migration to Unicode took place using automated processes, which meant that the project was successfully completed within one and a half months.

New express delivery software at Kneipp

Health product manufacturer Kneipp, headquartered in Würzburg, Germany, has restructured its shipping processes. Shipping is now handled using an ABAP-based express delivery solution from intralogistics specialists SALT Solutions. Around 300 packaging units leave the Kneipp warehouse every day, destined for some of the company’s 28,000 customers.
