SAP leads the way as the preferred business process solutions provider for the consumer goods industry, according to the results of the CGT (Consumer Goods Technology) 2014 Readers’ Choice Survey. With top recognition in six out of twelve categories, SAP was the clear favorite of industry executives in CGT’s subscriber base for the following areas of IT investment: Supply Chain Planning, Supply Chain Execution, Enterprise Resource Planning, Customer Relationship Management, Trade Promotion Management, and Business Intelligence.
“This recognition by readers represents a tremendous success for SAP,” said Mark Osborn, Global Lead, Consumer Products Industry Marketing, SAP. “We will continue to deliver innovation and tools to help our customers stay competitive in an ever-changing marketplace.”
Executives rank level of satisfaction for chosen IT provider
CGT asked executives from leading consumer goods companies to vote for their preferred IT solution and service providers, as relevant to their area of industry expertise. This year, 185 executives took part in the survey, reflecting a broad market demographic with 56% of respondents representing companies with annual revenues of more than USD $1 billion. Executives were asked to rank their satisfaction level for their chosen IT provider on a scale of 1 to 5, with1 being “extremely dissatisfied” and 5 being “extremely satisfied” (To find out more, see the CGT Readers’ Choice Survey Introduction and Methodology).
This marks the fourteenth year CGT has conducted its Reader’s Choice Survey. For many years, SAP has been consistently ranked according to the survey as the preferred provider for Supply Chain Planning, Supply Chain Execution, Business Intelligence, and ERP solutions. In recent years, SAP has made significant progress with its innovation strategy to make its customers’ businesses run better. As a reflection of SAP investment in industry-specific solutions, CGT readers have begun to recognize SAP as the leading provider for many other solutions, including Trade Promotion Management.
