SAP names Simon Dale as Chief Technology Officer for Asia Pacific

Strategic appointment demonstrates SAP’s commitment to customers and partners to deliver the Enterprise Services Architecture

SingaporeSAP Asia Pacific today announced the appointment of Simon Dale, an industry veteran with over 18 years of experience in the IT industry to the new strategic position as Chief Technology Officer for Asia Pacific. Effective immediately, Dale will be responsible for the delivery of the Enterprise Services Architecture (ESA) and the transition of SAP’s Asia Pacific customers and partners to its Business Process Platform (BPP). Based in SAP’s Asia Pacific headquarters in Singapore, Dale continues to be a member of SAP’s Asia Pacific management team and will report to SAP Asia Pacific President & CEO Hans-Peter Klaey.

“Dale’s wealth of experience and expertise in delivering on SAP’s vision of the Business Process Platform will make a valuable contribution as we continue to increase market share and enable growth for our customers and partners in Asia Pacific,” said Hans-Peter Klaey, President and CEO, SAP Asia-Pacific. “This appointment accelerates SAP’s roll out of the Enterprise Services Architecture roadmap, via SAP NetWeaver, and the delivery of the Business Process Platform.”

Dale’s appointment comes as SAP is entering the next growth phase of delivering innovative solutions for its customer base by deploying of enterprise services. ESA is SAP’s services based architecture for enterprise scale business solutions that offer increased levels of adaptability, flexibility, and openness.

Dale will continue to be the Vice President of the regional SAP NetWeaver business development team. Within this role, Dale drives SAP NetWeaver adoption among customers and expands SAP’s footprint to the partners and developer ecosystem.
