New Fast-Start Program for SAP® Business All-in-One lets companies in Malaysia configure solution online and receive instant pricing information

KUALA LUMPURSAP Malaysia today announced the release of the Fast-Start Program for SAP® Business All-in-One, designed to deliver rapid business results and lower total cost of ownership (TCO) for midsize companies. The program offers midsize companies in Manufacturing, Services and Wholesale (Trade) industries, an SAP Business All-in-One solution based on proven SAP Best Practices platform.

Delivering a complete ERP solution using the localized industry specific know-how of SAP’s Channel Partners, the program allows companies in Malaysia to view the solution’s full offering and receive an immediate online comprehensive cost estimate* through the SAP Solution Configurator, available at www.sap.com/malaysia/configurator. In addition to the SAP application and database licenses, it includes deployment services, 1st year maintenance and pre-configured servers in order to present a streamlined “no hidden cost” estimate for an on-premise business solution.

“As the market leaders in the SME space, SAP understands that one size does not fit all,” said Krish Datta, Managing Director, SAP Malaysia. “Together with our partners, we are always working on innovative solutions to deliver maximum business value at the lowest possible cost for our customers. The Fast-Start Program for SAP Business All-in-One is yet another great example of how we are delivering on this promise.”

Through the Fast-Start Program, companies are able to get industry-specific business processes up and running in six to eight weeks, allowing them to make better-informed business decisions with greater visibility of their operations. With a clearly defined set of pre-configured industry processes, deployment is expected to be fast and predictable. The solution fully addresses the core enterprise requirements of a typical customer, including commercial processes such as order-to-cash, procure-to-pay, financial accounting and management accounting. The coverage also extends to manufacturing and service scenarios, and all processes are fully localized for the countries where the solution is offered.

Already available in Australia, India, Korea, Philippines and Singapore with over 20 qualified SAP Channel Partners, the Fast-Start Program for SAP Business All-in-One will be rolled out in other countries in the Asia Pacific Japan region throughout the year. Sales efforts have commenced in China, and Japan will roll out the program in the third quarter of 2008.

In Malaysia, the Fast-Start Program will be available through qualified SAP Channel Partners covering the Manufacturing, Services and Wholesale (Trade) industries. Initial feedback from partners that we have shared program details with:

” With this pre-tested, automated installer, partners will be able to considerably reduce the installation time for pre-configured industry solutions, including database, operating system and the SAP ERP application. Without time-consuming customization, the system can be up and running within a short period of time,” said Jeffrey Doss, General Manager of ObTech Asia Pacific.

Tan Kok Pin, Managing Director of Selatan Technology Resources Sdn Bhd, noted that while the Fast-Start Program for SAP Business All-in-One provides customers with rapid time to value and low total cost of ownership, it also offers freedom of choice. “Customers are able to tailor the solution to their business requirements by simply selecting the pre-configured industry-specific processes, with the knowledge that they can also extend the solution at any time as their business grows,” Tan added.

“The new Fast-Start Program for SAP Business All-in-One provides innovations that allow companies to configure their solution online and receive an immediate cost estimate for a cost-effective deployment. The program delivers rapid time to value and the flexibility to adapt as their needs change.” said Harald Weinbrecht, CEO of ISS Consulting, another SAP partner.

“The Fast-Start Program for SAP Business All-in-One is a testament of SAP’s commitment to customers to find ways to provide them with superior solutions that cater to today’s changing business environment,” said Richard Liau, Director of Croesus IT Solutions Sdn Bhd. “Best of all, SAP Business All-in-One is an affordable and safe long-term investment.”
