From traffic congestion to air pollution to crime, there is no shortage of problems waiting to be solved in major cities around the world.  Can the Internet of Things (IoT) help?

Yes. “Smart Cities” already taking advantage of this technology are leveraging the IoT to gather real-time information from across the city. This creates data that can be used to identify small problems before they become big, and to find sustainable solutions to big problems that were too big to tackle until now.
