Processes and applications are running in web environments or within SAP Enterprise portal. The technical architecture, coming with the product, relies on SOA service oriented architecture, enabling IT departments to define SOA Services without programming. Subsequently these services can be made available for multiple uses in business applications and also billed to clients. Services may also include existent SAP R/3 functions or simply per point and click created additional data is stored on SAP’s NetWeaver AS application server.
Companio’s ORGANIS consists of Companio Machine, which provides on demand Cockpits for the management of business applications and SOA services. The Machine also delivers process components (engines) for the execution of processes, applications and services. The second product component of ORGANIS is called TheConsultant. This component could be categorized as professional service application and delivers predefined models for business process management across department and company borders. Business analysts are able to easily create new or change necessary software functions for specific process steps.
Customers shall use ORGANIS to create their company specific business applications completely in a SAP NetWeaver technology. The software promises to eliminate uncontrolled growth of software tools in companies IT landscapes. Furthermore the tool endows the protection of SAP software investments and the deployment of existing IT process know-how.
The software provider claims, one of ORGANIS major unique selling proposition is, allowing to reduce IT fix costs and thus providing new opportunities for IT executives to use the saved money for further IT innovations. At SAP’s SAPPHIRE, Paris event, Companio has showed a beta release of the software product, currently in approve in first customer projects.
