The contract applies to Europe, the Middle East and Africa. This makes T-Systems the first ICT (information and communications technology) service provider that is able to take over the customer’s complete billing processes on the basis of SAP. Within the scope of the cooperation with SAP in the billing area, T-Systems will employ a specialized SAP application that is designed for billing processes. This holds advantages for customers that use SAP applications for other business processes as well. All of the necessary data from other SAP applications can easily be used and then put back into the systems. Currently, T-Systems processes around 450 million invoices per year and also takes over printing and shipping. Altogether, T-Systems manages over 40 million customer accounts and administers around 460 million billing processes.

Administration of HR processes on the basis of SAP

T-Systems and SAP have concluded another outsourcing service contract in the area of personnel management. The ICT service provider will offer business process outsourcing on the basis of the mySAP ERP Human Capital Management (mySAP ERP HCM) software. With this external solution, employee processes and skills can be geared directly toward a company’s business objectives. It offers support for managers, persons responsible for personnel as well as their assistants at companies of all sizes and from all industries. This also includes personnel management, organization management, personnel development and the management of advanced training and other events.
T-Systems offers BPO services as a certified BPO provider “Powered by SAP,” which includes special support from SAP. This guarantees customers the same service levels as those offered to SAP customers. Complete SAP support is ensured via the SAP-certified “Provider Competence Center.” This includes a 24-hour hotline among other features.
“The trend toward business process outsourcing is clearly on the rise,” says Bernd Kraus, Head of BPO at T-Systems. “With this very close cooperation with SAP, we’re able to respond to customer demands with tried-and-tested solutions. Since we are also a Global Hosting Partner of SAP, we operate all SAP solutions for our customers internationally according to uniform standards.”
Dr. Bernd-Uwe Pagel, who is responsible for the global BPO business at SAP, says, “We’re pleased to have won an established and experienced partner with T-Systems for our “BPO Services Powered by SAP” program. This program stands for best practice business processes, lower implementation and operating costs as well as a low risk profile. Companies for which billing or personnel management is not core business benefit from innovative BPO services from a trusted source.
