SAP Appoints Steve Rogers Managing Director for SAP UKI

LondonSAP has appointed Steve Rogers to the role of Managing Director, United Kingdom and Ireland (UKI). Steve joins from Business Objects, where he was Vice President and General Manager, EMEA North Region after a term as Siebel’s Vice President, EMEA North Region.

Steve succeeds Graham Kingsmill, who recently made a personal decision to leave the company after 5 years service. Graham will remain in position until year end as part of a transition plan, during which Graham and Steve will work together in order to secure the business targets and objectives for 2006. From the beginning of 2007, Steve will fully assume his new responsibilities.

Steve has more than 20 years of experience in the IT industry, of which more than 10 years have been in the software industry. He has served in a number of senior management roles, at IBM, Oracle, Siebel and Business Objects.

On his appointment, Steve said: “There is no doubt that SAP’s emphasis on quality products with industry solutions delivering superior value to customers, is a key factor in SAP’s on-going success. It is a very exciting prospect to join the UKI market at this time in its growth and lead one of SAP’s most important regions.”

Steve will report to Ferri Abolhassan, Executive Vice President of Large Enterprises and member of the Regional Leadership Team.
