SAP Appoints Industry Veteran as General Manager of EMEA North

Fred Hessabi joins SAP to support Franck Cohen, President of EMEA and increase innovation and customer value

LondonSAP has appointed Fred Hessabi to the role of general manager of Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA), North. Within his role at SAP, Hessabi will be responsible for all operations in France, UK & Ireland, Belgium, Luxembourg, the Netherlands and Scandinavia, driving increased revenue and higher customer satisfaction across the region. Fred joins from BDNA, a leader in IT Asset Management software based in California, where he held the role of Chief Executive Officer for two years.

Hessabi has over 20 years of leadership experience in executive and board member positions with leading global technology organisations and has deep expertise in working with US-based software companies to expand their business in the Europe, Middle East, and Africa and Asia Pacific regions. He held senior sales manager positions at Dun & Bradstreet and SSA between the late 1980s through to 1997 where he joined Siebel systems to start up the Southern European operations. After two years in this role, Hessabi was promoted to the senior vice-president and general manager of Siebel EMEA, with overall responsibility for all Siebel Systems operations in Europe, Middle East & Africa, and stayed in this role for more than five years until after the merger with Oracle.
