Feltham, MiddlesexSAP United Kingdom and Ireland (UKI), today announces the appointment of Laura Burton as Human Resources Director, effective immediately. Within this role, Laura is responsible for managing a team of seven HR Business Partners dedicated to supporting all Business functions across SAP UK and Ireland. She will also oversee the wider HR team who supports recruitment, contracts, training, rewards and benefits for approximately 1100 employees.

Speaking about her appointment, Laura said; “I am delighted to have been given this opportunity. It is the people who are at the heart of every successful organisation and we are lucky enough to have a committed, talented workforce here in the UKI already. I have a personal ambition to ensure all of our employees continue to develop their skills and remain happy in the company, as well as making us an employer of choice for future employees.”

Laura has worked in a multitude of HR roles within the IT industry for the past 14 years. She joined SAP in October 2008 and has since then been acting as a trusted advisor to the UK Board of Directors for Sales, Pre-sales and Operations. For the past six months, Laura joined the SAP UKI Leadership Team on a six-month secondment to work as the Business Manager to the UKI Managing Director.

“SAP globally has ambitious growth targets in place to double the size of our business. It is my view that HR plays an instrumental role in this by continuously supporting the business and the employees so that we grow profitably, with the right people in place. Laura has been a key member of our Human Resources team for many years and has been instrumental at driving the employee development and Management training programme. I am delighted that she has decided to take on this new challenge and wish her every success in her role,” said Steve Winter, Managing Director, SAP UKI.
