Leading energy, water and marine group turns to TITAN Technology Partners to implement new solution

Feltham, UKSAP UK today underscores its commitment to helping fast growth businesses run better with the announcement that Sembcorp has selected SAP Business All-in-One to meet regulatory requirements and provide a platform for future growth. Sembcorp’s UK businesses are owned by Sembcorp Industries Limited, which provides centralised utilities, energy and water to industrial and other customers in Singapore, the UK, Asia, the Americas and the Middle East.

Sembcorp Industries acquired its first UK operation in 2003 and the business has grown ever since. It is now one of the largest privately-owned industrial utilities and services providers in the UK. To support this growth in the UK market, as well as to support increasing regulatory requirements coming from Ofwat, Semborp made the decision to invest in technology.

“SAP is our global technology platform. Therefore, it was a no-brainer for us to invest in a SAP solution over other vendor offerings because it has both the functionality we require and will also integrate seamlessly with the global business. SAP Business All-in-One was the right fit for our business because of both our size and functionality requirements. SAP’s partner TITAN Technology Partners has been chosen as the implementation partner” said David Guy, SVP Finance, Sembcorp Utilities Limited.

The SAP solution will be rolled out by TITAN across Sembcorp’s UK businesses to over 700 users. This new project utilises Sembcorp’s global SAP solution whilst maintaining and meeting UK company standards.

Julian Page, Head of European Sales, TITAN Technology Partners commented; “TITAN is delighted to be working with Sembcorp on this SAP project in the UK and will be extending our existing project team from the Global Project Team based in Singapore.”

David Guy continued; “The new SAP solution will provide the Sembcorp UK businesses with a robust platform for our planned future growth whilst ensuring we work within our global corporate reporting and business framework. TITAN’s team will implement SAP to provide us with all the local regulatory requirements needed by Ofwat and our global SAP platform ensures we continue to operate in the forefront of our industry”

John Antunes, Director of SME & Channels for SAP in the UK & Ireland said; “I am absolutely thrilled that Sembcorp has chosen SAP to help support further growth in their business. SAP excels at working with fast growth organisations, and we are committed to ensuring we provide the efficiencies and benefits this organisation is looking for.”
