SAP Appoints Eric Verniaut SVP of Next Generation Services Organization

SAP NEWSBYTESAP AG (NYSE: SAP) today announced that Eric Verniaut has joined the company to lead the Next Generation Services organization. To bolster customer adoption and success with new offerings from SAP, Verniaut and his team will focus on an incubator approach toward the introduction of new professional services with the goal to rapidly scale them for mainstream application. Reporting to José Duarte, president of Global Services at SAP, Verniaut will help ensure that the SAP® Consulting organization establishes best practices for new offerings that fully support the company’s strategy for growth and can be readily applied by SAP partners.

The new organization is tasked with introducing innovative professional services to scale for delivery by SAP and SAP partners, reflecting the increased customer demand for the SAP HANA™ platform and business analytics, mobility and on-demand projects. Verniaut’s team will focus on creating such services with the goal of improving time to value while lowering project costs, providing a worldwide impact on customer success with new, innovative SAP applications.

Most recently, Verniaut served as group executive vice president (EVP) of Professional Services and later group EVP of M3 Industries at Lawson Software. Prior to this work, he held a number of senior roles, including chief executive officer (CEO) of T-Systems North America and chairman of the Americas region for T-Systems Enterprise, as well as CEO for gedas North America. Verniaut began his career at IBM Deutschland.

Veriaut holds a master’s degree in business administration from Anglia Polytechnic University, Cambridge, U.K., and a bachelor’s degree in business administration from INSEEC, Paris.
