20th SAP Academic Conference EMEA Focuses on Preparing the Future Workforce for the Digital Enterprise

SAP NEWSBYTESAP SE (NYSE: SAP) and the SAP University Alliances program today announced that nearly 350 faculty members from over 100 universities across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) will gather at SAP’s global headquarters in Walldorf, Germany on September 10 and 11, 2015 for the 20th SAP Academic Conference EMEA.

“At SAP, our University Alliances program is a key enabler for building the skills required to compete in the digital economy,” shared Gerhard Oswald, member of the Executive Board of SAP SE. “We look forward to showcasing opportunities for university faculty to enhance students’ academic and career outcomes powered by SAP solutions and SAP University Alliances.”

This year’s conference theme is “Preparing the Future Workforce for the Digital Enterprise.” During an evening event at the Heidelberg Palace, September 10th, attendees will hear a SAP keynote on “Preparing the Next Generation Developers and Startups for the Digital Enterprise.” During the main conference day on September 11th, attendees will hear keynotes from distinguished faculty leaders as well as SAP executives on “Preparing Next Generation Designers,” “Digital Education for the Digital Transformation,” and “Industry 4.0.”

Through workshops, breakouts sessions and expert topic tables, faculty will learn about the latest SAP University Alliances offerings and partnerships including a spotlight on SAP Learning Hub – Academic Edition, which will soon offer a blended learning hub with access to almost 1,000 learning assets from three areas – curriculum from SAP University Alliances, courses and eCertifications from SAP Learning Hub – Student Edition, and openSAP courses. openSAP includes the recently launched openSAP thought leaders series, delivering Massive Open Online Courses (MOOCs) by academic and business thought leaders to prepare businesses for their digital transformation. Faculty will also learn about opportunities for their students to leverage the Academy Cube, a global initiative to strengthen tomorrow’s workforce, open the door to new opportunities in the international labor market for motivated talents, and provide a lifelong skills and career development community.

The SAP University Alliances program is a global initiative that builds the next generation of talent for the digital enterprise and drives innovation from universities to the SAP ecosystem.
