coresystems introduces map app to support service
With coresuite map, coresystems AG has released an app that aids coordination and route planning in field services. This user-friendly tool integrates easily into SAP ERP systems and targets the areas of service and sales. Based on Google Maps, it displays data from SAP ERP systems on service calls, employees, and business partners and updates it asynchronously through the cloud.
Each pin on the map represents an employee, with the color indicating his or her status. Clicking on a pin opens a window with detailed information, and users can assign service orders and add destinations through a menu. The coresuite map app comes with a monthly fee of €19.80 per user; a free demo is also available here.
BTC Object Manager for maintenance
BTC Object Manager from BTC AG is a solution designed to manage buildings, facilities, and equipment – in particular, hospitals, municipal building contractor’s yards, and state agencies. By combining it with SAP project management solutions, users can also obtain centralized access to the information they need, which facilitates documentation and incident processing.
The solution covers legal requirements – such as those governing medicinal products in Germany – and automatically registers changes in data and master data records thanks to its integration into document archiving systems. BTC Object Manager was also recently presented at WÜMEK, a convention for medical technology and energy efficiency at clinics, in Würzburg, Germany, from May 23-25.

Uniorg reveals program for machine delivery picking
Dortmund, Germany’s Uniorg and Atlas Copco Energas have created an SAP-integrated program for machine delivery picking. Atlas Copco Energas – company involved in turbo compressor and expander technology – has been using SAP ERP since November 2008.
However, the standard SAP shipping process and the delivery function in the project system cover only some of the particularities of machine delivery picking. This is why Atlas used to employ an external program – one that required a lot of maintenance and wasn’t able, for example, to monitor complex deliveries.
Uniorg thus developed two programs, the first of which covers aspects of picking, reads in the order bills of materials of main assembly groups when called up, and displays them in a clearly arranged format. The components to be delivered are marked in a manner that makes deviating quantities easy to spot quickly.
The program also updates delivery information in both sales orders and in the picking program. The second program, meanwhile, aids in date-specific monitoring of past and pending material deliveries.
