New Modular Suite and Local Language Pack Reduces Upgrade & Language Barriers, Provides Customers with a Higher Degree of Insight, Efficiency and Flexibility as Business Dynamics Change
Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam — — SAP Vietnam today re-affirmed its commitment to help Vietnamese enterprises weather the current economic downturn with the launch of SAP® Business Suite 7 software and SAP ERP Vietnamese Language version, both aimed at helping Vietnamese businesses optimize performance and reduce IT cost.
In the current environment, every organization is challenged to focus on short-term business value while preserving a coherent IT architecture and landscape. Addressing this challenge, the new SAP Business Suite is designed to ease upgrades and help customers reduce IT costs when upgrading or installing enhancement packages. It also allows customers to gain deeper business insights using analytic capabilities from the SAP® BusinessObjects™ portfolio and further assists customers seeking holistic process excellence by engaging with industry practices and service-oriented architecture (SOA).

World class solutions to speak local language
At the press conference, SAP also unveiled SAP ERP Vietnamese language version, making it the first-ever Tier 1 ERP solution to be made available in the local language. This is the successful outcome of SAP’s Local language Program, a project which SAP has been working on since Febuary 2008, and features over 15,000 Vietnamese terminologies. SAP also worked with local partners such as FPT and GCS for quality review and checking to ensure that all terminologies are correctly translated and meet the needs of Vietnamese users.
With everyday ERP communication — including end-user interface, error messages and reporting – now available in Vietnamese, SAP ERP Vietnamese language version eliminates the ever-existing language barrier, allowing Vietnamese users to focus their time and resources on core business-critical tasks.

The Vietnamese language version will be available to all new SAP customers starting their implementation during and after Q1, 2009.

Developed closely with customers and partners, the new SAP Business Suite introduces industry-rich value scenarios—end-to-end business processes that focus on industry-specific outcomes that span organizational boundaries and application silos. Value scenarios can be implemented in a step-wise fashion and deployed as customers need them.
Retailers, for example, understand that connecting with their customers is mission-critical. To support customers in reducing total cost of ownership (TCO), the new SAP Business Suite delivers more than 150 functional innovations through enhancement packages and a synchronized release schedule for all applications—SAP® ERP, SAP® Customer Relationship Management, SAP® Supplier Relationship Management, SAP® Supply Chain Management and SAP® Product Lifecycle Management, as well as industry applications—across the entire suite. Enhancement packages allow customers to select and deploy only the functionality they need without upgrading their solution—leaving long implementations, upgrades and disintegrated point solutions in the past.
