ASUG Conference to Educate on Evolution of ERP

This year’s conference will educate SAP customers on how mySAP ERP can improve overall business performance, how it compares to the current version of SAP R/3 and what are the upgrade roadmaps for existing SAP customers. Powered by SAP NetWeaver, the company’s leading integration and application platform designed to enable business change, mySAP ERP offers a wealth of application and integration technology benefits to customers beyond their current solutions, including portal and mobile technology, business intelligence, knowledge management and exchange infrastructure. With mySAP ERP, companies can drive additional business value from existing technology investments in SAP solutions and move closer to the promise of enterprise-scale usage of Web services.
“Today, it is essential that our customers fully understand the roadmap of their SAP solutions, how they can drive additional value from their ERP solutions and how they can produce a high return on their existing SAP solution investment,” said Bill McDermott, CEO and president, SAP America, Inc. “To further educate customers, SAP has worked closely with ASUG to pull together a strong educational program. For any SAP customer that is interested in learning how mySAP ERP can help them improve overall business performance and to gain clarity on SAP’s solution roadmap, the ASUG Annual Conference is a must-attend event.”

Learning about the mySAP ERP strategy

The ASUG Annual Conference is the only customer-driven event of its kind. The program offers widespread networking and educational opportunities with more than 300 customer-driven presentations as well as the ability to influence the future product and service direction of SAP. In addition to opportunities presented by SAP partners, SAP experts will deliver 60 live demonstrations and more than 90 theater presentations on mySAP Business Suite, SAP NetWeaver, mySAP ERP and other topics. SAP executives, including Claus Heinrich (executive board member, SAP AG), Bill McDermott (CEO and president, SAP America), Thomas Baur (VP, Global ERP Initiative, SAP AG) and Debbie Schmidt (VP, mySAP ERP, SAP America) will be on hand as keynote speakers, offering ASUG attendees unprecedented opportunities to hear from and interact with the leading SAP executives involved in ERP management in both the United States and on a global basis.
“ASUG and SAP have enjoyed a strong 14-year relationship that has helped to enhance the productivity and success of SAP customers,” said Greg Horne, ASUG president, Eastman Chemical Company. “Consistent with our goal to partner with SAP and to ensure we provide mutual value, we have been working with them on the rollout of the mySAP ERP initiative. I truly believe that the content being shared at this year’s conference will meet the high standard and quality on which the ASUG Annual Conference has built its reputation. Any organization looking to understand the future ERP roadmap should take advantage of this opportunity to learn about the mySAP ERP strategy.” For additional information on the 2004 ASUG Annual Conference & Vendor Fair.
