Heckler Transfers SAP Systems to Freudenberg IT

Heckler AG is using the mySAP Business Suite, incorporating applications for accounting, controlling, material management, production, sales, and HR management. The company is currently in the process of verifying the integration of two subsidiaries into the group’s system landscape, Ebinger & Giek GmbH & Co. KG and Zi Kaltumformung GmbH. By employing a scalable SAP solution, Heckler is looking to consolidate its company-wide business processes and thus ensure a reliable basis for planned further growth.
With respect to hosting, Heckler opted for the F-IT Compact solution, just one of the comprehensive range of services offered by Freudenberg IT that ensures the efficient operation of SAP systems. F-IT Compact provides an extremely high level of reliability and stability even during periods of high system availability. The solution utilizes a state-of-the-art Intel architecture running the Linux operating system.
To support users, a specially designed flexible concept was devised, offering on-site as well as remote services. The key users pool their issues and then determine the necessary approach in cooperation with Freudenberg IT’s consultants. Freudenberg IT ensures its customers continual support and availability thanks to the company’s customer call center. Freudenberg IT further offers a “round-the-clock” service for its locations in Europe, the US, and China.
Before awarding the contract for SAP hosting, Heckler stressed the importance of an IT service provider that would ensure a comprehensive service package throughout the complete lifecycle of the IT systems supported. The medium-sized company also requested one single contact person for the SAP system. “Besides offering comprehensive consulting services, Freudenberg IT thoroughly understands the needs of today’s medium-sized manufacturers. These benefits, combined with the service provider’s proximity to our own location all helped distinguish Freudenberg IT,” explained Dr. Michael Rebholz of the Heckler AG executive board.
