Together with its Finnish customer, Siemens Business Services originally set up the SAP service center back in 2003 and has been operating it since then. The center is the cornerstone of the army’s SAP system and provides its some 4000 users with comprehensive support. The duties of the 20 SAP service center employees include monitoring operation of the SAP system, covering tasks such as administering access rights, incorporating new software versions and coordinating system development and training. The extended contract is set to run for two years, with the option of a further extension of another two years.
