With its Exquisa and miree brands, the company Karwendel-Werke, headquartered in the Bavarian city of Buchloe, Germany, has a presence in around 30 countries. Assisted by consulting firm realtime, it is set to implement SAP ERP in Germany as well as at its Austrian and Italian subsidiaries. The goals of the implementation are to harmonize IT applications, optimize business processes, and facilitate international growth.
realtime is a recognized specialist for SAP solutions in the food industry, particularly in the midmarket. As a partner of wholly owned SAP subsidiary Steeb Anwendungssysteme, realtime can offer the entire range of SAP products and services – in other words, consulting, support, software, and hosting. Steeb is providing the licenses for the software and will be responsible for long-term maintenance. The two companies are working together as part of the SAP Extended Business program.
The implementation project is slated to kick off imminently – in the first quarter of 2009 – at the Karwendel headquarters in Buchloe.
SAP Extended Business program
This global program strengthens the relationships between companies that recommend, implement, or develop SAP solutions or software solutions based on SAP products and one or more SAP value-added resellers. With the program, SAP actively promotes a practice that is already happening locally in the SAP partner landscape. For example, an independent software vendor develops a complementary solution for SAP software and offers it to customers by getting together with an SAP value-added reseller that specializes in the vendor’s industry. Or a system integrator implements or helps to implement an SAP solution at a customer on behalf of a certain SAP value-added reseller. By leveraging these synergies, companies can maximize their sales potential.
