At the awards ceremony, held on September 17 in Delhi, SAP India president Ranjan Das collected the award, afterward saying, “We at SAP India are thrilled to have won the Dataquest ‘Top Software Company in India’ award for the year 2009. I would like to thank our customers, partners and my colleagues for this honor. Dataquest is the recognized leader in understanding the IT market in India. For the first time, this award has gone to an enterprise software company, demonstrating that Indian customers are graduating from desktop computing and custom projects to business process optimization, enterprise visibility and decision-making. This award is a clear testament of the market’s recognition of our efforts and that we are out-executing the competition.”
