Aircraft manufacturer Pilatus extends outsourcing contract with TDS
Pilatus Aircraft, headquartered in Stans, Switzerland, has extended its outsourcing contract with IT service provider TDS. Pilatus is Switzerland’s largest aircraft manufacturer and has been working with TDS since 2004. TDS operates Pilatus’ SAP systems in line with the highest security requirements of the aviation industry. The contract has been renewed for another four years.
SAP Oil & Gas Secondary Distribution in ramp-up
The latest release of the SAP Oil & Gas Secondary Distribution package will soon be ready for general availability. Version 6.1 has passed all the stages of quality assurance with flying colors and will be shipped to selected customers with immediate effect. SAP Oil & Gas Secondary Distribution is an application developed by SAP in partnership with Implico for companies in the downstream industry.
According to Implico, the latest version of SAP Oil & Gas Secondary Distribution will enable users to work much faster – thanks to the completely revamped demand forecast function. The user interface has also had a facelift and is now much easier to use.
Companies that would like to participate in the ramp-up can apply online at http://service.sap.com/rampup. An S user from SAP is required for access. General availability is slated for mid-2010.
Automatic exchange rate updates from Steeb
Steeb, a wholly-owned subsidiary of SAP headquartered in Abstatt, Germany, now provides software to automatically import the latest exchange rates into SAP systems. The exchange rate data comes from the European Central Bank (ECB) and can be imported at flexible intervals – daily, weekly, or monthly.
The software is available from Steeb as a complete package, including setup. The ECB exchange rate information is free of charge. Steeb promises a rapid and straightforward implementation.
