Screen resolutions for mobile Internet

Smartphone mobile screens and properties vary dramatically from device to device. While the iPhone only offers an average resolution of 320 x 480 pixels, it excels in terms of display and with its handy touchscreen. In contrast, the BlackBerry – which is more prevalent in the business world – has a much smaller diagonal screen size of 2.4 inches, although the horizontal resolution is an impressive 480 pixels. Brand new devices are even equipped with WVGA resolution (480 x 854 pixels), which was common for conventional PC screens back in the 1990s.
