The implementation of SAP Business ByDesign is projected to require eight weeks, which should ensure rapid process support. Meanwhile, GENESIS’s organizational and procedural structures are undergoing a redefinition in which every function is being described based on a catalog of business-related questions.
The processes involved include order entry, customer relationship management, assembly, financials, and accounting. In the future, GENESIS’s controlling department in the U.S. will be able to access the company’s data over the Web and render its financial reports in parallel according to German and U.S. law.
UC4 releases automation solutions for SAP applications
UC4 has augmented its portfolio for SAP customers with new integration for SAP Financial Closing Cockpit (SAP FCC) and an SAP enhancement for its own UC4 Automated System Copy. SAP FCC is designed to help finance departments carry out month-end closings efficiently and maintain compliance with laws and other requirements.
Meanwhile, UC4 Automated System Copy enables customers to accelerate the system copy process by eliminating both errors and manual steps. The enhancement is also available to users of SAP NetWeaver Business Warehouse. Both of these solutions were introduced at the SAP TechEd events in Berlin and Las Vegas.
ComGroup develops add-on for forms
To account for the requirements of different departments with regard to form generation, ComGroup has developed Output Framework. This SAP add-on serves as a basis for actual form development and can be adjusted to meet varying needs. Since the add-on works exclusively with the SAP standard, departments can make layout changes or select languages without modifying the system itself. The add-on supports integration into SAP ERP and requires SAP NetWeaver 7.0 or later.
