BTC Strikes GIS Partnerships

To improve planning, construction, and service processes for energy supply systems, Oldenburg, Germany-headquartered BTC Business Technology Consulting has concluded partnership contracts with the companies GEOCOM Informatik and Bühn Netzinfo. According to BTC, the cooperation is a response to market demands. It involves the integration of all systems, data quality, the merging of data on a geo dashboard, and making this data available to mobile users.

Thanks to the cooperation, BTC is adding quality management for grid data to its range of consulting services. A further addition to its portfolio is the GIS (geographic information system) framework GEONIS, which uses GEOCOM’s ESRI basis technology. The framework enables GIS projects run by grid operators and utility companies to be implemented faster. GIS service provider Bühn Netzinfo, headquartered in Naila, Germany, consolidates processes and grid data from different systems and assures its quality. During GIS projects, BTC also uses its own homegrown software, such as BTC Bonapart, BTC Mobile Data Management, and BTC PRINS.
