coresystems: App for Windows Phone 7

With its coresuite mobile app coresystems ag, headquartered in Windisch, Switzerland, aims to be one of the first companies to present business software for the new operating system. The first step was taken with the launch of coresuite mobile client for notebooks, because it uses the Windows Silverlight application framework as its basis technology. The app enables data to be synchronized with SAP Business One through the coresuite cloud, and will soon be available to download free of charge from the Microsoft Marketplace. The service can be purchased from coresystems for €9.90 for each month and user.

Atos Origin Adds SAP BusinessObjects to Its Portfolio

IT service provider Atos Origin, headquartered in Bezons, France, integrated its Adaptive Workplace offering with the SAP BusinessObjects BI OnDemand solution, in line with a new OEM agreement with SAP. The globally available solution is provided as software as a service (SaaS). Adaptive Workplace integrated with SAP BusinessObjects BI OnDemand enables customers to use business intelligence functions without prior investment in infrastructure or hardware. The payment model involves no license costs. Instead, customers can choose between a price per user or a monthly fixed price.

STAS Announces Strategic Cooperation with Logis

As part of a strategic cooperation agreement, IT specialists Logis, based in Andernach, Germany, joined forces with business software solution provider STAS, located in Reilingen, Germany, to offer an integrated solution for equipment trading and rental. As a result, Logis’ TopLog industry software was enhanced with business intelligence and performance management functionality from STAS CONTROL. All control-relevant data is now aggregated, so that rental analyses, utilization rates, the examination of rental behavior, and service center and customer analyses can be performed systematically. What’s more, the required cubes, reports, and key figures can be provided with greater ease.

Multi-vendor IT infrastructure services provider Computacenter, headquartered in Kerpen, Germany, concluded a partner agreement for the German market with Palo Alto Networks. It encompasses designing, shipping, installing, and maintaining Palo Alto Network’s software and firewall applications. Palo Alto Network’s platform approach offers application certifications independent of the port or protocol and user identification independent of the IP address. Furthermore, the company’s next generation firewalls include classic firewall functions, network address translation, and VPN.

Sybit: Industry Software for CRM

With Sybit CRM Professional, leading consultancy firm Sybit, based in Radolfzell, Germany, provides preconfigured industry software based on SAP Customer Relationship Management (SAP CRM). The offering is aimed at customers who already deploy SAP ERP. An industry-specific prototype is slated to be available in two weeks’ time. After around two months, the complete software will be on the market.

According to Sybit, an improved user experience will be achieved through enhancements and additional functions. For example, each template contains a business partner model that enables users to enter additional data – beyond the scope of the SAP standard fields. Offline posting reports and a module for importing data are designed to bring greater ease of use and efficiency to employees at contractors and engineering companies.
