The notion that energy savings can be achieved through SAP NetWeaver was first raised during the SAP Influencer Summit in December 2010 by SAP Chief Sustainability Officer Peter Graf. He used similar data to show how SAP development takes advantage of energy savings possibilities, which results in lower costs for operating our software and reducing carbon emissions. Using SAP NetWeaver Process Integration as an example, SAP’s Holger Faulhaber makes the case for potential savings in energy consumption, CO2 emissions, and of course, the cost to the customer.  On the heels of the announcement of SAP NetWeaver 7.3 becoming generally available to all customers, marrying the topics of sustainability and the SAP technology platform couldn’t be more timely.
