The new application, SAP Social Media Analytics application by NetBase, will be sold and supported by SAP as a solution extension. The cloud-based solution is able to process more than 95 million social media data posts per day across millions of sites globally. It uses an advanced natural language processing engine to read and categorize posts according to the opinions, emotions, and behaviors they express.
Further, the application enables real-time analysis of the data for understanding market perceptions of products, tracking the success of marketing campaigns, and uncovering trends in customer preferences.
A massive social intelligence warehouse, called ConsumerBase, delivers a detailed breakdown of opinions, sentiments, passion intensity, and conversation drivers. Analysts can search ConsumerBase directly and conduct on-the-fly analyses in the warehouse, filtering for time, demographics, and source.
