SAP Named a Leader for IT Education in IDC MarketScape

WALLDORF, Germany — SAP today announced it has been positioned by IDC as a MarketScape leader for IT education, recognizing the company’s practice of delivering new software and training together and supporting early technology adopters with the ability to experience rapid success.

According to the IDC report, “IDC MarketScape: Woldwide IT Education and Training 2012 Vendor Analysis”[1]: “Unlike most vendors, SAP makes training available along with the beta-testing release of the software to both ‘test’ the training and provide the ecosystem and early adopting clients with the best opportunity for successfully deploying the new software.” Citing the company’s areas of particular strength the report credits SAP’s “large and diverse set of educational services offerings aligned by project life cycle,” which “reflects an industry best practice for comprehensive educational service offerings.”

The SAP Education organization trains more than 300,000 individuals annually via a combination of traditional classroom training, e-learnings and e-Academies. The organization supports customer adoption of innovations, with training for the SAP HANA® platform as one of the best-selling early product training courses in its history. SAP Education provides scalable, affordable and flexible offerings combining learning services and software, as well as learning content that can be consumed online to help ensure enablement continues across the life cycle.

“A key goal of SAP Education is to ensure that all customer audiences can build the knowledge they need to successfully use SAP solutions” said Markus Schwarz, global head, SAP Education. “This recognition from IDC validates our efforts to provide an innovative portfolio of software, content and services to our customers and partners, and underscores SAP’s commitment to supporting rapid customer adoption.”
