IDG’s Network World Awards SAP Afaria First Place in Testing of BYOD Mobile Device Management Tools

Newsbyte

WALLDORF — In Network World’s recent testing of five top mobile device management (MDM) products, the SAP Afaria mobile device management solution received a “first place” ranking. For the bring-your-own-device (BYOD) testing, Network World considered factors that ranged from the installation and provisioning of the product to usability. Leveraging deployment availability of SAP Afaria both on premise and on the cloud, Network World tested a cloud-based package of SAP Afaria using Amazon Web Services (AWS).

Network World’s test results highlight the deployment capabilities and improved user interface (UI) of SAP Afaria. Calling the updated UI a “radical makeover,” Network World described SAP Afaria as “packed with workflows poised toward BYOD and mischief control.” With an intuitive UI and flexible deployment options, SAP Afaria reduces corporate risk and management costs while simultaneously improving the productivity of an increasingly mobile workforce.

“SAP is committed to mobilizing the enterprise, and we recognize that the secure management of devices, data, and apps is an integral part of any mobile strategy,” said Sanjay Poonen, president, Mobile Division, SAP. “Our customers and analyst community have already made SAP Afaria the market-leading solution for mobile device management, and we are excited that Network World’s independent testing has affirmed their decisions.”
