HANOVER — At Hannover Messe, being held April 8-12, 2013, in Hanover, Germany, SAP and partners will present comprehensive software solutions for the manufacturing industry. This year, from booth D04 in hall 7 at the “Digital Factory” exhibit, SAP will focus on the topic “Industry 4.0,” connecting industrial manufacturing and IT through cyber-physical production systems. In various showcases and research projects, SAP will illustrate how Industry 4.0 can help enterprises develop new business models that go beyond standard manufacturing processes.
At the event, SAP will also present solutions for construction and product development, planning and work preparation, manufacturing, maintenance and service as well as communications technology. SAP partners, including bdf consultants, CIDEON Software, Dell, DSC Software, ENERGY4U, IGZ Logistic + IT, Salt Solutions, and SYSTEMA, will present their solutions, services and showcases at the SAP booth.
Industry 4.0 is creating a new information sharing environment that connects enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, databases, the Internet and real-time information from factories, supply chains and products. In the application scenario “Intelligent Maintenance Processes with SAP,” SAP will show how analyzing sensor data as well as error and downtime patterns can maximize uptime to boost productivity of plants and factories. The research project “KapaflexCy” aims to create new, self-organized capacity management that will enable enterprises to manage their production capacities flexibly, rapidly and across company borders, while directly involving employees performing the work.
SAP will showcase solutions for the manufacturing industry in three application areas:
- Engineering and Construction, Product Development: SAP will present comprehensive offerings for product development, SAP 3D Visual Enterprise applications for the visualization of construction data as well as mobile scenarios for assembly and service.
- Manufacturing: SAP will focus on solutions that help companies improve production efficiency and transparency along with flexible tools for all tasks in production monitoring, performance analysis and dashboarding.
- Maintenance and Service, Mobile: SAP will showcase solutions for asset management and field service as well as mobile apps for on-site service.
SAP Research will present the prototypes “Asset Information Management” for efficient information management of technical facilities across company borders and “Parts-On-Demand” for tailored 3-D printing for parts management.
With Russia as the partner country for Hannover Messe in 2013, SAP will also partner with the city of Moscow. At the Moscow City Government’s booth C24, hall 1, SAP will showcase innovative solutions for the modern megalopolis in four demo areas, focusing on energy efficiency, public security, healthcare and smart shops, including the SAP Precision Retailing solution.
