NEWTOWN SQUARE, Pa. — SAP Americas, Inc., a subsidiary of SAP AG, today announced that it received a perfect score of 100 percent on the 2014 Corporate Equality Index (CEI), a national benchmarking survey and report on corporate policies and practices related to lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender (LGBT) workplace equality, administered by the Human Rights Campaign (HRC) Foundation.

Some of the programs and initiatives that make SAP one of the best places to work for all include:
- Employee networks and resource groups: The LGBT resource group at SAP is known as Pride@SAP and focuses on encouraging transparency and visibility for LGBT colleagues. The network helps increase the understanding of work and life issues and supports colleagues to be more open about who they are and how awareness of LGBT issues contribute to the company’s success.
- Flex Appeal program: Flexible working options help employees manage their work/life balance and can lead to increases in productivity and worker satisfaction. The Flex Appeal program creates transparency for employees as to what flexible working arrangements their office location offers and supports.
- Autism at Work program: Behind the label of autism, many people have a great deal to offer and SAP is embracing their talents. By launching several pilots throughout the world to hire people with autism, the company is working to facilitate a broader conversation to challenge perceptions and create change.

The 2014 CEI rated 934 businesses in the report, which evaluates LGBT-related policies and practices including non-discrimination workplace protections, domestic partner benefits, transgender-inclusive health care benefits, competency programs, and public engagement with the LGBT community. SAP’s efforts in satisfying all of the CEI’s criteria resulted in a 100 percent ranking and the designation as a “Best Place to Work for LGBT Equality.”
