WALLDORF — The SAP Student Entrepreneur program supports entrepreneurship education at leading universities and colleges worldwide. To deliver compelling, authoritative and current instruction possible, thought leaders from SAP SE are collaborating with the Hasso Plattner Institute (HPI) to provide university faculty with educational assets and industry best practices on enterprise innovation and entrepreneurship, design thinking and user-centric design. They also provide information on business development, rapid prototyping, product development and go-to-market planning. Educators at universities in the SAP University Alliances program will be able to use these assets to launch new entrepreneurship programs or to enhance existing programs.
By working together with HPI, the SAP Student Entrepreneurship program aims to call global attention to the leading work on entrepreneurship and innovation being done there and will be able to channel materials of high quality, integrity and substance to entrepreneurship educators at SAP-affiliated universities worldwide.
“This is a cooperation that works well on many levels,” said Prof. Dr. Christoph Meinel, HPI. “We are happy to team up with SAP to advance entrepreneurship skills development among students around the world — SAP is an innovative company that has a truly global reach.”
Located in Potsdam, HPI is the only university-level institute in Germany offering study programs in IT-Systems Engineering. The HPI has no tuition fees and is financed entirely through private funds donated by its founder, Professor Hasso Plattner, who co-founded the software company SAP and is currently its Supervisory Board Chairman.
“To inspire student entrepreneurs globally, SAP University Alliances is also announcing an ambassador program in conjunction with the SAP Student Entrepreneur program,” said Ann Rosenberg, vice president, SAP University Alliances. “This is an exclusive honor for four ambassadors who will serve for one year in each of four global regions. They will inspire others with their innovative startup concepts, including use of SAP HANA Cloud Platform, and be showcased at SAP events as well as on social media.”
