What’s your formula for success in business? Some may debate the ingredients necessary to making a business run optimally, while others may question if it’s possible to conceive a reliable formula amid a changing business environment. Almost everyone however will agree that if there’s one thing absolutely critical to any formula for business success, it’s people.

That’s why the UK & Ireland SAP User Conference 2014, coming up November 23-25 in Birmingham, UK, will focus on people as the driving factor underlying the event’s theme – The Formula for Success. Conference delegates will have ample opportunity to network with other SAP customers and experts to gain first-hand insights about how to deliver the best value from SAP technology to their businesses. Hosted by the UK & Ireland SAP User Group (UKISUG), the conference is set to be the largest gathering of SAP customers in the UK and Ireland this year, with more than 600 customers present, as well as +75 partners and SAP experts.

“What we’re looking at really is, what is the formula for success?” says Craig Dale, CEO of UKISUG, on the importance of connecting people to build business together. “We’re bringing together SAP customers with SAP and the cream of the SAP partner community to get together, collaborate, and create that formula for success.”

Agenda Offers 100+ Hours of Education, 25 Hours of Quality Networking

The event, being held at the ICC in downtown Birmingham, presents an opportunity for SAP customers to share knowledge and experience, as well as join in the three networking sessions that provide a cumulative 25 hours of quality networking activity. “As a user group, one of the key things that we do is connect people,” says Dale. “And therefore, we’ve looked at ways we can enhance that at this year’s event.”

The program has been optimized to provide maximum time and value for delegates. With 14 breakout streams that offer more than 100 hours of education, the conference covers top SAP themes such as mobile, user experience, HR, and payroll. A stream dedicated to strategy will run throughout the event, with Boston Consulting Group presenting their work on in-memory computing. Also included will be deep-dive sessions into SAP HANA and a session from SAP experts on support. “Optimizing SAP” is another stream sure to attract interest with its focus on how customers can get more value from their SAP investment.

Although there is no dedicated stream for cloud, this topic will be covered in LOB sessions, like SuccessFactors in human resources, Ariba in supply chain, and SAP Cloud for Customer in CRM. Two sessions on licensing will look at simplifications in the SAP licensing and pricing guide that are intended to make it easier for customers to audit their SAP licenses. Attendees to these sessions will receive UKISUG’s free guide to how to get the most value from their SAP licenses.

Delegates will also hear from seven keynote speakers, including Guy Armstrong, COO of SAP UKI, Sven Denecken, Global Vice President, Customer and Partner Strategy, Cloud Solutions at SAP, and noted entrepreneur Rachel Elnaugh.

The program has been designed to keep workshops and keynotes short and sharp, emphasizing areas of strategic value such as SAP HANA, cloud, mobile, user experience, and SuccessFactors. Dale says, “When we designed the program, we looked at the latest innovations and balanced that with how customers can get more out of the software they currently use, along with how we can attract senior and strategic personnel to come to the event, as well.”

Laugh the Night Away with Comedian Simon Evans

Delegates are invited to a gala dinner on Monday evening at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole. Comedian Simon Evans will headline the excellent entertainment lineup.
