LAS VEGAS — SAP SE (NYSE: SAP) today announced general availability of SAP S/4HANA Cloud SDK running on SAP Cloud Platform.
Allows customers, partners and ISVs to extend and develop custom applications
Powers innovation and agility to help create new digital business models within the SAP ecosystem
The software development kit provides a simple end-to-end development experience that enables SAP customers, partners and independent software vendors (ISVs) to develop custom applications easily, extending the capabilities of SAP S/4HANA Cloud. Partners and ISVs will be able to offer new cloud solutions and capabilities to their customers and address specific vertical markets, opening a wealth of new business opportunities. The announcement was made at the SAP TechEd conference being held September 25–29 in Las Vegas.
SAP S/4HANA Cloud SDK empowers developers to create custom applications and extensions for SAP S/4HANA on SAP Cloud Platform using code samples and best-practice content. By offering seamless use of the data model and rich set of APIs provided by SAP S/4HANA, the SDK ensures rapid builds and ready-to-run applications in SAP S/4HANA Cloud. Tools test that custom applications will work with future releases of SAP S/4HANA.

One existing application built with SAP S/4HANA Cloud SDK is the SAP RealSpend solution, which enables line managers to manage spending in real time. Another extension to SAP S/4HANA Cloud that is already available helps to match invoices automatically, reducing the time spent on this task by up to 50%.
