Foxconn European Manufacturing Services Builds Digital Workforce with SAP SuccessFactors Solutions

SOUTH SAN FRANCISCOSAP SE (NYSE: SAP) today announced that Foxconn European Manufacturing Services has selected SAP SuccessFactors solutions for human capital management (HCM) to support its digital workforce strategy.

Foxconn chose to transition its on-premise SAP ERP HCM solution to the SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite to take advantage of cloud-based innovation to digitalize HR delivery and better align talent strategically to the business.

Based in the Czech Republic, Foxconn European Manufacturing Services provides strategic services in warranty and postwarranty servicing, logistics and project management. Foxconn is a recognized global leader in providing complete IT solutions for consumer electronics production. Foxconn Europe selected the SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite, including the SAP SuccessFactors Employee Central solution, to help it build a shared service organization for HR and for its global and consumer-grade mobile capabilities, which will help the company meet the expectations of today’s digital workforce. The integrated talent suite — comprising recruiting, onboarding, performance and goals, compensation, learning, and succession and development — is expected to boost productivity and engagement among its 4,400 employees. Further, Foxconn expects the leading HCM solutions to support its efforts in complying with the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) requirements.

“Foxconn is committed to investing in its workforce to ensure the highest possible level of engagement, and to help our employees meet and exceed customer expectations,” said Jitka Kratochvílová, HR director at Foxconn European Manufacturing Services. “We are confident that SAP SuccessFactors solutions will enable us to empower our employees to perform at their best while also ensuring we remain compliant with important regulations such as the GDPR. Not only does the SAP SuccessFactors HCM Suite provide self-service capabilities for a consistent user experience, SAP’s support around data privacy and protection helps assure us that our data is secure.”

With one HR solution in the cloud, Foxconn European Manufacturing Services will be able to standardize HR processes across the company, tightly integrate with other SAP software for better data integrity and help ensure timely compliance with data privacy laws and regulations on a regional and global level.

“Business requirements in every industry are evolving faster than ever before,” SAP SuccessFactors President Greg Tomb said. “HR has to be able to keep up with the rapid pace of change, and actually lead transformation. SAP SuccessFactors solutions help companies like Foxconn differentiate their business to attract and retain top talent. We’re committed to helping our customers deliver a simple, consumer-like experience whether accessing our solutions from a laptop or mobile device. At the same time we bring our decades of experience and deep expertise around global and local legislation and regulations when serving our customers. GDPR is the latest, but it won’t be the last regulatory hurdle. We are committed to lead in this area and support customers in their compliance just as regulatory requirements will continue to change. SAP is well positioned to be a strong partner to companies like Foxconn looking to move their organization forward in the cloud while addressing an increasingly complex set of rules.”

Globalization and digital disruption are pressuring businesses of all sizes to rely on their people to drive organizational agility and thrive in times of change. Over 6,400 customers in 193 countries rely on industry-leading SAP SuccessFactors solutions to attract, develop and retain the best people — tapping into their full potential and meaningfully connecting them to the company’s purpose and mission. Because purpose drives people, and people drive performance.
