SAP Expands SAP Live Link 365 with Multiple Social Channels to Meet Demands of Digital Natives


WALLDORF — SAP SE (NYSE: SAP) today announced that it has expanded the capabilities of the programmable interconnect APIs enabled by the SAP Live Link 365 mobile service to include many social channels.

This allows developers and users to bring immersive new experiences to customers and consumers who use a wide range of services and solutions provided by the SAP Digital Interconnect group.

Adding to existing messaging services such as e-mail, SMS and push notifications, customers worldwide will now be able to connect to consumers globally through Facebook Messenger, WeChat, Viber, Line and Telegram.

“We must adapt as users’ communication preferences change,” said Sethu Meenakshisundaram, president, SAP Digital Interconnect. “While e-mail and SMS are still considered relevant methods of communication, we are beginning to see a greater demand for social channel interaction across the globe and have integrated these into our offerings. This update is part of our continual focus in providing our customers with the capabilities they need to meet their customers where they are.”

While continuing to drive rich API models in today’s digital economy to connect everyone and everything everywhere intelligently, the SAP Digital Interconnect group works closely with developers to identify their needs. The objective is to offer them services that are easy to consume, use and integrate into their own platforms.

As communication channels continue to expand and evolve, SAP is committed to working with customers to enhance their services. With new emerging standards, SAP is currently working with a select group of customers to develop Rich Communication Services (RCS) as a channel of immersive engagement.

SAP Live Link 365 provides a fast and intuitive way to integrate multichannel communications into applications and platforms across all business needs and industry verticals. With this further expansion, customers will now see even further productivity and enhanced global reach.
