WALLDORF — SAP SE (NYSE: SAP) today announced that it was recognized as a leader for the SAP Manufacturing Execution application in Gartner Inc.’s “Magic Quadrant for Manufacturing Execution Systems.”* In the “Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES) for Process Industries Market Research Study”** from ARC Advisory Group, SAP ranked first in 10 categories based on revenue and was named the leading MES supplier within the discrete manufacturing industry.
In ARC Advisory Group’s MES market study, SAP Manufacturing Execution ranked first in the following categories: overall revenue, software revenue, North America market ownership, the automotive industry, the machinery industry, inform and visibility, maintenance and support, on-premise deployment, and tier-one and tier-two customers. The ARC report notes that SAP’s leadership in the discrete manufacturing industry is due to its connectivity to ERP software, strategic partnerships, adoption of innovative technologies – such as IoT and cloud – and its extensive client roster.
