Celebrating Two Years of SAP App Center: Seamlessly, Digitally Connecting SAP Partners and Customers

Feature

Today, on the eve of SAPPHIRE NOW, SAP is hosting its largest partner event ever in Orlando, the SAP Global Partner Summit.

From unique, interactive board-level keynotes from Adaire Fox-Martin, Christian Klein, and Bill McDermott to gaining the latest insights into SAP’s roadmap and unique customer stories, networking opportunities, and more, attendees will experience information and engagement like never before.

There are so many reasons to anticipate SAP’s largest partner and customer events, but for me, I’m most excited to celebrate the two-year anniversary of the SAP App Center.

We launched the SAP App Center, our digital enterprise marketplace for partners, nearly two years ago. There, customers have access to a fully transactable B2B marketplace, designed to bring innovations from partners of all sizes into their hands in a simple, digital manner. It’s the go-to destination for customers looking for industry-specific solutions that also meet regional requirements. It’s also the only place where SAP partners can market and deliver their offerings to more than 437,000 SAP customers worldwide.

Supporting Development and Monetization of Partner Solutions

By joining SAP App Center, our partners become an integrated extension of the SAP brand, providing a dynamic range of offerings customers can discover, try, buy, and manage all in one place. Since the launch, we have grown the portfolio of partner solutions to more than 1,800 from over 1,000 partners. Solutions include apps, extensions, plug-ins, microservices, and content that integrates with and/or extends SAP solutions, including SAP Cloud Platform, SAP S/4HANA, the SAP Customer Experience portfolio, SAP SuccessFactors solutions, and more.

Partner offerings are sortable by SAP product lines, 24 industries, 11 solution types, and 10 use-case scenarios, creating a seemingly endless supply of opportunities. New apps are also added and upgraded regularly, further enhancing the SAP App Center’s status as one of the industry’s most powerful and comprehensive business application marketplaces.

Requirements to offer a solution on SAP App Center are simple. Independent software vendors must be an approved SAP partner and pass an application readiness check (ARC) that corresponds to their partner program. We’re pleased to share that partners participating in the newly announced the Build engagement model in the SAP PartnerEdge program, as well as those that are developing solutions on SAP S/4HANA Cloud — see the announcement issued today offering 12 months of free access to partners — will also be eligible to offer their solutions on the SAP App Center. This furthers the frictionless experience and seamless connection we are facilitating for partners and customers.

We remain laser-focused on co-innovation, creating a single digital marketplace where our customers and partners can connect to do business and transact. Partners participating in SAP App Center gain joint solution-selling support from SAP as well as the ability to reach even more customers, leverage a completely digital experience through our ecosystem, and market and deliver their own apps and solutions directly to SAP’s global customer base.

SAP App Center enables our partners to own every aspect of the customer relationship, and as a major building block in SAP’s overall digital transformation, it continues to play an increasingly important role in propelling us forward through the digital landscape.

We continue to set the bar high with SAP App Center, helping both customers and partners gain maximum value out of their SAP investments to become intelligent enterprises. On the site, customers around the world can discover, try, buy, deploy, and manage applications developed by our partners, safe in the knowledge that each app has been tested for quality and suitability – all designed to help SAP customers enhance and extend their enterprise and line-of-business solutions and enable partners to monetize their IP.

Seamless Digital Transactions for SAP Partners

Several direct-integration solutions that are built on or are augmenting the capabilities of SAP Cloud Platform, SAP S/4HANA, and the SAP Customer Experience portfolio, as well as SAP SuccessFactors, SAP Ariba, SAP Fieldglass, and other SAP solutions are already transactable on SAP App Center. Partners including Ingentis, Sodales Solutions, and Thomson Reuters – all 2019 SAP Pinnacle Award winners – as well as Dun & Bradstreet, Mediafly, Deloitte, Accenture, and more are digitally transacting and closing deals via SAP App Center.

A key example of this is Ingentis org.manager, which is available on SAP App Center, runs on SAP Cloud Platform, and is integrated with SAP SuccessFactors solutions. Its purpose is to bring company organizational charts closer to employees by adding them to their everyday working environments. The solution gives employees easy access to the organizational information contained in the company’s HR system. The org chart can be used as a visual corporate directory that’s searchable and always up-to-date. Interactive buttons allow users to contact a colleague directly out of the org chart or access their employee profile. Instead of having to gather data from different platforms and sources, users can find everything in one place.

We look forward to providing additional updates this week at SAPPHIRE NOW, highlighting new offerings that will continue to boost our innovations and those of our partner ecosystem in order to keep delivering excellent digital customer experiences. We remain committed to our partners and to furthering the innovations that build on and extend SAP solutions, helping to deliver not only solutions, but real business outcomes for our customers. We continue to make big leaps in engaging customers and partners – digitally empowering them on their transformation journeys as they elevate their own intelligent enterprises.
