Free openSAP Course for iOS App Development

Apps are playing an increasingly important role in everyday business life. Beginning August 29, 2017, users will have the chance to participate in an openSAP online course to learn the necessary skills to develop powerful business software with the SAP Cloud Platform SDK for iOS.

Participants can learn about the key concepts and functions of the SAP Cloud Platform SDK for iOS. The SDK enables users to quickly create their own business apps based on Apple’s programming language Swift, and design appealing, intuitive apps using the multifunctional design components from SAP Fiori for iOS.

Quickly Develop Your Own Apple Apps

Over the course of five weeks, the English-language app guides users through step by step processes to create a shopping cart application, for instance. Interested participants should plan for up to four or five hours a week.

The course starts on August 29, 2017. In the first week, course participants will learn about the main principles of the SAP Cloud Platform SDK for iOS. The following week will focus on retrieving background data. Participants will then be shown how the user interface can be created using SAP Fiori for iOS design elements. The penultimate week will focus on advanced topics, including the transferal of the application to the mobile device. The final examination will be held between September 26 – 4 October.
