WALLDORF — SAP SE (NYSE: SAP) today launched SAP.iO’s European flagship location SAP.iO Foundry Powered by Techstars Accelerator. The first of its kind in Europe, the accelerator will provide mentorship and access to SAP’s application programming interfaces, technologies and ecosystem, as well as funding for startups engaged in machine learning and software as a service (SaaS).
“We are at the cusp of a new era of intelligence in the business-to-business space powered by machine learning and the Internet of Things. The SAP.iO Foundry will be the first of its kind in Berlin and we will partner with startups and provide them mentorship, customer exposure, and access to SAP technologies,” said Deepak Krishnamurthy, chief strategy officer, SAP.
Juergen Mueller, chief innovation officer, SAP, said: “SAP.iO is already building incredible businesses inside and outside of SAP around the globe. Now, SAP.iO Foundry comes to Berlin, one of the most vibrant tech hubs of the world. With this accelerator, we provide top-tier programs to early-stage startups in the machine learning and SaaS fields.”

These 10 startups are all building or have built revenue-generating businesses using machine learning and span a number of industries including healthcare, customer engagement and commerce, manufacturing, media and entertainment, and human resources.
