SAP Revamps Annual Awards for Partners and Customers

Leading Australian companies recognised for innovation and successful implementations of SCM, CRM, business intelligence and e-business

Sydney, AustraliaSAP will recognise some of Australia’s leading companies for their innovative and successful implementation of mySAP.com solutions at the annual Partner-Customer Awards of Excellence to be held in Sydney today.

The SAP Partner-Customer Awards of Excellence was introduced in 2001 to recognise and reward successful SAP projects. This year’s judges are Chris Bennett, SAP managing director and chief executive officer (CEO), Paul Hawking, chairman of SAP User Group, and Rob Durie, executive director of the Australian Information Industry Association (AIIA).

“Businesses face a constant stream of challenges that calls for innovation, adoption of new technologies and a different way of doing things. SAP wants to encourage business excellence that ultimately deliver results to the bottom line,” said Chris Bennett, SAP managing director and chief executive officer.

“The winners of this year’s awards show the high quality of Australian companies that have successfully implemented mySAP.com solutions on time and on budget.”

SAP received a large number of submissions for this year’s awards. About 30 finalists were short listed for the 10 categories including best enterprise implementation, best CRM implementation, best business intelligence, best upgrade, best e-business, innovation award using new technology, best SCM implementation, best financials and HR implementation, and best SMB implementation.

This year’s winners are: Australian Co-op Foods, best R/3 implementation with Accenture as partner; Energy Australia for best industry solution also implemented by Accenture; Jones Lang LaSalle, best CRM implementation with Cap Gemini Ernst & Young as partner; BHP Billiton, best business intelligence category with CSC Australia as partner; Telstra, best upgrade category with Deloitte Consulting as partner; Optus, best e-business category with IBM GSA as partner; Robert Bosch, innovation award using new technology with KPMG Consulting as partner; Alesco, best SCM implementation with Plaut as partner; Mayne Group Limited, best Financials and HR implementation with PwC Consulting as partner; and Tyco Unistrut, best SMB implementation with Supply Chain Consulting as partner.
